The groundbreaking ceremony of the NGDE Solid-State Battery (Zhangzhou) Industrial Park was successfully held

In the golden autumn of October, fruits are abundant; its the perfect time to set sail. On October 9th, the grand ceremony for the concentrated start and completion of projects in the fourth quarter of 2024 in Zhangzhou High-tech Zone and the groundbreaking of the NGDE solid-State Battery (Zhangzhou) Industrial Park was held. Leaders and guests such as Secretary Wang Jinzu of the CPC Zhangzhou Municipal Committee, Deputy Director CAI Zongping of the Standing Committee of the Zhangzhou Municipal Peoples Congress, Vice Mayor Hu Bin of the Zhangzhou Municipal Government, Secretary Chen Jianjin of the Party Working Committee of Zhangzhou High-tech Zone, and General Manager Li Bohu of Zhangzhou NGDE Electric Power Technology Co., Ltd. attended the ceremony to witness the brand-new chapter in the development of NGDE together.




The NGDE Solid-State Battery (Zhangzhou) Industrial Park is wholly invested by Xiamen New Generation of Digital Energy Co., Ltd. The first phase of the project covers an area of 190.18 mu (126,700 square meters), with a planned investment of approximately 1.1 billion yuan. It will be used for the production, research and development, and supporting facility construction of gel solid-state lithium batteries. After completion, it will have an annual production capacity of 2.5GWh of gel solid-state lithium batteries. The product features advantages such as high safety, high power, high specific energy, wide temperature range and extremely long service life. It can be widely applied in multiple fields including special power supplies, heavy-duty loading tools, large-scale energy storage power stations, industrial and commercial energy storage, new energy vehicles, data centers, ships, aircraft, as well as aerospace and defense equipment. The industrial park will adopt an integrated green energy power system of source-grid-load-storage, comprehensively implement energy conservation and emission reduction, and strive to build a modern factory that is green, digital, information-based and intelligent.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Li Bohu, the general manager of NGDE, delivered a speech, extending a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to all the leaders, guests and colleagues present at todays event. He briefly introduced the situation of the NGDE solid-state Battery (Zhangzhou) Industrial Park project and pointed out that the NGDE gel solid-state battery is a fourth-generation electrochemical system battery. The industry-leading lithium battery technology system, which has been rigorously evaluated on-site by the expert group led by Academician Guo Jianbo of the China Electricity Council, has seen all its products pass various national mandatory standard tests and efficiently pass the trial benchmarking verification in various high-end application scenarios. Its advanced nature, safety, economy and other indicators have fully met the conditions for intensification and industrialization.

The NGDE Solid-State Battery (Zhangzhou) Industrial Park is committed to promoting the development of new quality productivity in the new energy industry, especially in technological innovation and industrial application in the field of solid-state batteries, which will further accelerate the development of the leading industry of intelligent manufacturing in Zhangzhou High-tech Zone.




The foundation is laid by filling the soil, and a new chapter begins

The completion of the groundbreaking ceremony also marks that the NGDE Solid-State Battery (Zhangzhou) Industrial Park will officially set sail and enter the construction stage!




NGDE is the first high-tech enterprise in China capable of achieving large-scale production of new gel solid-state lithium batteries. The first phase of the NGDE Solid-State Battery (Zhangzhou) Industrial Park project, featuring a 2.5GWh gel solid-state lithium battery, will also fully leverage the advantages of a lithium battery technology innovation enterprise. With its independently innovative technological achievements and products, it will comprehensively promote the iteration and upgrading of traditional liquid lithium batteries.
