The key enterprises of future industries in Xiamen City are selected by the Xiamen Science and Technology Bureau to encourage enterprises to conduct research and development and innovation and accelerate the development of future industries. They are industry demonstration enterprises with strong product competitiveness, good development prospects and strong comprehensive strength. Enterprises should possess certain technological innovation capabilities, have a technological innovation team, set up research and development institutions and corresponding research and development facilities, be able to continuously carry out project development and technological innovation activities, and the enterprises R&D investment in the previous year should not be less than 2 million yuan. The enterprises products (services) must fall within the technical fields related to future industries such as third-generation semiconductors, hydrogen energy and energy storage, genes and biotechnology, future networks, frontier strategic materials, deep-sea, aerospace development, new displays, new-generation artificial intelligence, and innovative drugs and medical devices.
